The Discomfort Zone

We’ve all heard it (or said it): “Are you comfortable with this?”

The subtext is that the idea at hand might be outside of what is normally done or expected. It implies that comfort is good and discomfort is bad.

Here’s a novel thought — when an idea causes discomfort, you might actually be on to something that can bring progress, instead of more of the same.
