Omnia Vincit Amor?

Over two thousand years ago, Virgil wrote the expression that translates in English to “love conquers all.” A lovely thought that unfortunately too often proves untrue. Amor means passionate love, which can wear off over time. Greeks called this love “eros.” But they had another word for love: “Agape.” This unconditional, sacrificial love never diminishes and endures all trials. I call this “Omnia Vincit Agape.” Only Agape conquers all.
